About MonoMuse
MonoMuse opened in 2018 in Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood with a single idea: make a museum where art and technology aren't separate categories. Founded by a group of Carnegie Mellon alumni, the museum started with one gallery and a borrowed projector. Today we operate three floors of exhibition space, a workshop studio, and a rooftop event venue.
Our mission is to make the relationship between creativity and technology visible, accessible, and worth thinking about. We're not trying to predict the future — we're trying to help people see what's already happening.
